The small safe control system MSC is a universal, freely programmable, modular safety system for safeguarding of machines and installations. Various expansion modules are now available for the safe monitoring of speed, standstill, speed ranges or also direction of rotation.

The modules SPM0 make it possible to acquire a movement using proximity switches. The modules SPM1 also offer the possibility of evaluating signals from an encoder. If two encoders are to be monitored, the modules SPM2 are suitable. Sine/cosine inputs as well as HTL and TTL inputs are available for the encoder interface on the SPM1 and SPM2 modules. Encoders are connected using RJ45 plug connectors, proximity switches using plug-in terminals.
